Co-edit documents, share files, run live meetings, and work together across teams and time zones.
Add a progress bar to a task to track a measurable metric such as budget, articles written, or units sold. You set the value manually, and each task can have one progress bar.
The Projects module is where you track work in Talkspirit: tasks assigned to members, roles or circles, organised on project boards and gathered in your My tasks view.
The Projects module in Talkspirit brings former Actions and Projects together as Tasks: personal tasks, sub-tasks, and tasks on project boards, all tracked from one place.
An administrator turns on the Projects module from Administration so members can plan work on boards and track tasks through to completion.
In Talkspirit, keep a project visible only to you by creating it with Secret privacy, then add members whenever you want to share it.
Add another project board from the Projects module, set its privacy, and star boards to keep the ones you use most within quick reach.
Duplicating a project board creates an independent copy. You name the copy and choose whether to bring across its columns, its tasks, and its members.
Projects shows your tasks in four views, List, Board, Timeline and Calendar, in My tasks and on every project board.
The Timeline view in Talkspirit lets you visualise tasks with start and end dates across projects, boards, and My Tasks.
Board owners and admins can add, rename, recolour, reorder, and archive the sections that appear as columns on a Kanban project board in Talkspirit.
Organisation administrators configure project boards across Talkspirit: show unassigned boards to members, control board creation for circles, lock board edition, and define default board templates.
Configure a project board from its Settings panel: set privacy, control who can assign tasks, link sections to task statuses, and choose which views and card fields appear. Owners and Admins only.
Open collaboration is the Projects model that lets you assign any member, role, or circle across the organisation, shaped by per-project access roles, an assignment control, and three privacy levels.
Assign circles, roles, and members to projects and tasks, adjust or remove those assignments, and follow task assignment activity in the project activity feed.
Add, edit, archive, and delete tasks in the Projects module. Editing saves automatically, and a task must be archived before it can be deleted.
In Talkspirit, you can add, change, or remove a task due date from the task itself, from List view, or by dragging the task in Timeline and Calendar views.
Break a task into a checklist of sub-tasks, group them into named lists, and nest them to any depth.
A dependency records that one task waits on another. Add them in the task's Dependencies section, choosing whether this task depends on the other or blocks it, or draw them as arrows between task bars on the Timeline view.
In Talkspirit, you can duplicate a task to reuse its structure. The copy keeps the original's description, dates, subtasks, and assignees, and appears in the same section.
The Projects module has no per-task privacy setting. Who can see a task is decided by the privacy of the board it belongs to.
In Talkspirit, you can move any task to another project board you are a member of. The task keeps its assignees, and every subtask moves with it.
Task recurrence is not available yet, here is what happens if you try, and how recurrence worked in the previous version.
The My Tasks section in Talkspirit gathers all task cards assigned to you across every project in one place.
Create a project linked to a group in the Projects module, choose open or private visibility, and invite people from outside the group
Talkspirit Drive is a file space for storing, organising, and sharing your documents, images, and videos, with a personal drive per member and a shared drive per group.
My Drive is your personal file storage in Talkspirit, separate from group drives, where you can create documents and organise your own files.
You can import an entire folder from your computer into the Drive by drag and drop or the Upload a folder button, with nested subfolders preserved.
Learn how to share Drive files with other members and move them between your personal drive and group drives in Talkspirit.
Download, move, delete, preview, and share several Drive files at once. Whole folders download as a single zip; the other bulk actions apply to individual files.
Platform administrators choose whether all members or only group managers can download, move, and delete files in bulk in group drives.
As an administrator, stop members uploading files from their own computer while keeping cloud sources available, using the Restrict computer upload file setting in Administration.
A group manager decides which members can manage files, create labels, and run bulk actions in a group Drive from the group's Manage permissions screen.
Create text documents, spreadsheets, and slideshows in the Drive and co-edit them in real time with your group, using the built-in collaborative editor.
When you delete a Drive file in Talkspirit, it moves to the Trash for 30 days. During that time you can restore it or delete it permanently; after 30 days it is deleted automatically.
Drive labels are colour-coded keywords for organising files and folders in group drives. Two types exist: group drive labels, scoped to one drive, and organisation labels, shared across every drive.
Organisation labels are colour-coded keywords created by administrators and applied across all group drives on the platform to organise files and folders.
Administrators switch Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Box on in Administration > Integrations, after registering a Client ID for Google Drive and OneDrive
The Library is a centralised app where members can find all useful resources shared by the organisation, managed by appointed Library managers.
Administrators enable or disable the Library module from Administration, then choose Library managers, set it as the landing page, and allow guest access from the Library's own administration settings.
Talkspirit Library managers can create main pages and sub-pages, name them, and add cover images. New pages are in draft by default until published.
Talkspirit Library pages support rich text formatting, quotes, emojis, member mentions, and external hyperlinks using the built-in editor.
Talkspirit Library managers can insert a table into a page with the / command, add or remove rows and columns from the hover controls, and fill each cell with text, emoji, mentions, and links.
Talkspirit Library managers can insert, resize, caption, replace, and delete images on Library pages using the / command and hover options.
Use the slash command menu on a Talkspirit Library page to attach a file, link to another Library page, upload a video, and embed external content.
Talkspirit Library managers can restrict page visibility to specific users or groups, then publish the page to make it accessible to the defined audience.
Library managers can update, unpublish, or permanently delete pages in Talkspirit to keep the Library content accurate and relevant for all members.
Talkspirit Library managers can filter pages by status, pin up to 6 pages on the homepage, and reorder the page tree to keep content organised and accessible.
Administrators turn on birthdays and work anniversaries in the Calendar settings so members can see them in the Events calendar, and can fill in a member's dates from Manage users.
Members can display coworkers' birthdays and work anniversaries in the Events calendar and send a quick chat message directly from the event.
Talkspirit's calendar lets you view coworkers' availability, add group calendars to your view, set agenda colours, and synchronise with Google or Microsoft Outlook in both directions.
The Talkspirit calendar shows every event you take part in, group and private events plus synced external calendars, and lets you create events in a few steps.
A Talkspirit event is a dated contribution with participants, shown in the Calendar. Who can see an event follows the privacy of the group or the member list it is shared with, and you can export your events to an external calendar.
A member's profile in Talkspirit opens as a side panel with an Info tab plus role, project, and goal tabs, and an actions menu for roles history and activities.
Company profiles let members publish posts and comments under a shared identity, such as a department or committee. They appear in the Administration console under Users.
As an administrator, you can edit another member's profile details, such as name, email, job title, and biography, from the Users section of Administration.
