# Managing the Library module in Talkspirit

The Library module gives your organisation a shared knowledge base of reference pages that members can consult. You enable or disable the module from **Administration → Modules → Library**. Library managers, guest access, and the landing-page option are set separately, on the Library's own administration settings. Only administrators can enable the module or change these settings.

## How do I enable the Library module?

1. Go to **Administration → Modules → Library**.
2. Turn on the **Library** toggle.

The module becomes available to members as soon as the toggle is on. Library managers, guest access, and the landing-page option are configured on the Library's administration settings, described in the sections below.

## How do I choose Library managers?

Library managers create, edit, and delete pages and manage all Library content. Administrators are not Library managers by default: an administrator who wants to manage content adds themselves here.

Open the Library's administration settings, then:

1. Under **Select Library managers**, choose the members or administrators to appoint.
2. Click **Save**.

Library managers can:

- Create pages and sub-pages
- Edit, update, and delete pages
- Manage the Library homepage

> **Tip:** Define the responsibilities of each Library manager in advance to avoid duplicate content.

## How do I set the Library as the landing page?

The landing page is the app that opens when a member signs in. On the Library's administration settings, turn on **Define this app as landing page (app that will be opened at launch)**. When this option is off, members open the next enabled app instead.

## How do I give guests access to the Library?

Guests are limited-access accounts on your platform. On the Library's administration settings, under **Guests access**, turn on **Enable guests to access Page Library module**. Every guest can then open the entire Library.

## How do I disable the Library module?

1. Go to **Administration → Modules → Library**.
2. Turn off the **Library** toggle.
3. In the **Disable Library?** dialog, select **Disable Library**.

Members lose access to the Library until you turn it back on. Pages, drafts, and manager assignments are kept, so re-enabling the module restores everything.
