# Prevent members from uploading files from their computer

By default, every member can attach files from their own computer, OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. As an administrator, you can stop members uploading files from their computer while leaving the cloud sources available. The setting lives in **Administration → Security** and applies to your whole organisation.

## Prerequisites

You need administrator rights to change this setting.

## Restrict computer file uploads

1. Click your **profile picture**, then **Administration**.
2. Open **Security**.
3. Turn on **Restrict computer upload file**.

The change applies to every member immediately.

## What changes for members

Once the restriction is on, members no longer see their own computer as a source in the file picker. They can still attach files from OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox, so any connected cloud storage keeps working.

## Re-enable computer uploads

Turn off **Restrict computer upload file** to let members upload from their computer again. The change takes effect immediately.
