# Updating, unpublishing, or deleting a Library page

Library managers can update a published page without taking it offline, unpublish it to return it to draft, or permanently delete it when the content is no longer needed. Each action is available from the page itself, and deletion is confirmed before it takes effect.

## How do I update a published page?

You can edit a published page without removing it from view. Your changes are saved as a draft until you publish them.

1. Go to the page you want to update.
2. Click **Edit**.
3. Make your changes.
4. Choose one of the following:
   - Click **Publish** to overwrite the current version immediately.
   - Click **Exit edit mode** to save the changes as a draft. The published version stays visible to its audience.

When a page has unpublished changes, the **Unpublished changes** label appears next to its status for Library managers.

Library managers can also see every published page that has unpublished changes from the Library home page, under the **Unpublished changes** tab.

## How do I unpublish a page?

Unpublishing returns a page to draft status. It is hidden from everyone except Library managers.

1. Click the **3 dots** menu for the page.
2. Click **Unpublish**.

The green published status turns grey to show the page is now a draft.

## How do I delete a page?

To permanently remove a page and all its content:

1. Click the **3 dots** menu for the page.
2. Click **Delete**.
3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.

> **Warning:** Deleting a page is permanent. The page and its content cannot be recovered, and any sub-pages are deleted with it.
