# Adding a table to a Library page


You add a table to a Library page from the page editor: type `/`, select **Table**, and Talkspirit inserts a 2-column by 2-row grid. You then add or remove rows and columns from the controls that appear on hover, and fill each cell with text, emoji, mentions, and links. Editing Library pages requires the Library manager role.

## How do I add a table?

1. In the Library page editor, type `/`.
2. Select **Table** from the menu.

A table of **2 columns by 2 rows** is inserted.

## How do I edit a table?

### How do I add a row or column?

- To add a row or column at the edge, hover over the table and click the **+** button that appears below it (**Add a row**) or to its right (**Add a column**).
- To insert one inside the table, hover over a cell and click the three-dots handle that appears above the column or to the left of the row, then choose **Insert left**, **Insert right**, **Insert above**, or **Insert below**.

### How do I delete a row or column?

1. Hover over a cell in the row or column you want to remove.
2. Click the three-dots handle that appears above the column or to the left of the row.
3. Choose **Remove column** or **Remove row**.

### How do I add content to a cell?

Select a cell and type `/` to open the command menu. Alongside plain text, you can insert:

- An emoji (or type `:`)
- A mention (or type `@`)
- A link to another page (or type `#`)

## How do I delete a table?

Remove every row and column one by one, as described above. When the last cell is removed, Talkspirit deletes the table.
