# Import a folder into your Drive


You can import an entire folder from your computer into the Drive, including all its nested subfolders. Drag the folder onto the Drive, or use the **Upload a folder** button. The import runs in the background, so you can keep working in Talkspirit while it completes. The folder structure from your computer is kept in the Drive.

## How do I import a folder using drag and drop?

1. Go to the group drive or **My drives** section where you want to import the folder.
2. Select the folder on your computer.
3. Drag it onto the Drive.

The upload starts automatically and runs in the background. Track its progress in the upload panel at the bottom right of your screen.

## How do I import a folder using the upload button?

If drag and drop is not available:

1. Go to the group drive or **My drives** section.
2. Click **Upload a folder**.
3. Select the folder in your file explorer.

The upload starts automatically and continues in the background. When it finishes, the upload panel turns green. Click **Open** to go to the imported folder.

## What else should I know?

- Each upload is limited to 400 files. To import a larger folder, upload it in several batches.
- The maximum size for an individual file depends on your subscription plan.
- Nested subfolders are preserved: the folder structure from your computer is kept in the Drive.
