# My Drive on Talkspirit


My Drive is your personal file storage in Talkspirit, independent from any group drive. You can create documents, spreadsheets, and slideshows, upload existing files, and organise everything in folders. Files in My Drive are private by default: only you can see them, unless you share them with specific members.

## How do I create a document in My Drive?

1. Open the **Drives** tab.
2. Select **My Drive**.
3. Select **New**, then choose the document type:
   - **New document**
   - **New spreadsheet**
   - **New slideshow**

The document opens in a separate window for editing.

To bring in existing files instead, select **New**, then **Upload a file** or **Upload a folder**, or pick a file from a connected service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or Box. Select **New folder** to group your documents into folders.

> **Note:** Creating documents must be enabled for your organisation. If **New document**, **New spreadsheet**, and **New slideshow** do not appear, ask an administrator to enable document creation.
