# Activating the Projects module

The Projects module lets members plan work on boards and follow tasks through to completion. It is turned off by default, so an administrator switches it on before anyone can use it. You do this from Administration, in the Modules section. Once it is on, the **Projects** entry appears in everyone's navigation.

## Before you start

You need administrator rights for your organisation. If Projects is not part of your plan, the toggle is replaced by an **Available on a higher plan** label with a **Contact sales** button.

## How do I turn on the Projects module?

1. In the top bar, open your account menu and select **Administration** (the cogwheel entry).
2. In the Administration menu, open **Modules** and select **Projects**.
3. Turn on the **Projects** toggle.

Once the toggle is on, the **Projects** entry appears in the left navigation for members, who can open it to create projects and add tasks.
