# Creating organisation labels in the Drive

Organisation labels are colour-coded keywords that organise files and folders across every group drive in your organisation. Administrators create them from Administration, and the same keyword is then available in every group drive. This differs from a group drive label, which a group member creates on a file and which stays inside a single drive. This article covers organisation labels: creating, renaming and deleting them.

You need administrator rights, and a plan that includes the full Drive. On a read-only Drive plan the **Labels** section is replaced by an upgrade prompt.

## How do I create an organisation label?

1. Go to **Administration → Drives**.
2. In the **Labels** section, select **+ Label**, then **Create a label**.
3. Enter a name in **Label name**.
4. Choose a colour under **Label color**.
5. Select **Create**.

The label becomes available across every group drive straight away. Organisation labels apply only in the Drive: they cannot be used as post labels.

## How do I rename or recolour an organisation label?

1. Go to **Administration → Drives**.
2. In the **Labels** section, select **+ Label**.
3. Select the edit icon on the label you want to change.
4. Update the name or the colour, then select **Save changes**.

## How do I delete an organisation label?

1. Go to **Administration → Drives**.
2. In the **Labels** section, select the **X** on the label you want to delete.
3. Confirm in the **Delete label** dialog.

The label is removed from every file and folder it was applied to, across all drives.

> **Warning:** Deleting an organisation label is permanent. It disappears from every file and folder it tagged, and cannot be recovered.
