# Navigating a member's profile

A member's profile in Talkspirit shows what a member does, which roles they hold, and how they contribute to the organisation. It opens as a resizable side panel and organises the details into tabs. Any member can open another member's profile. The **Info** tab is always present; the other tabs appear depending on the features your organisation uses.

## How do I open a member's profile?

Select a member's avatar or name anywhere in the suite, or open the **Members** directory and select the member there. Their profile opens in a side panel on the right. Use the view switcher at the top of the panel to move between the side panel, a centred panel, and the full member page.

## Which tabs does a profile show?

The tabs a profile shows depend on the features enabled for your organisation and on your own access. The **Info** tab always appears; the governance tabs (**Roles**, **Metrics**, **Checklists**) appear when your organisation uses those features, and **Projects** and **Goals** appear when those apps are enabled.

| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| **Info** | Job title, company, contact details (email, phone, location), skills, biography, groups, language, and time zone, plus any custom fields set by administrators. |
| **Roles** | The member's current roles, grouped by circle, each with its purpose, scope, and share of the member's time, and a bar showing total time allocated across roles. |
| **Metrics** | The metrics assigned to the member. |
| **Checklists** | The recurring checklist items assigned to the member. |
| **Projects** | The project boards the member takes part in. |
| **Goals** | The Goals assigned to the member. |

> **Note:** Some governance terms, such as **Roles** and **Checklists**, can be renamed by your organisation, so the tab labels may differ from those shown here.

## Where do I find roles history and activities?

Open the actions menu (the **⋯** button in the panel's header) for three further options:

- **Roles history** opens a timeline of the member's role changes: assignments, removals, elections, and scope updates. Filter it by change type or by year.
- **Activities** opens a log of the member's recent contributions, such as tasks, projects, goals, metrics, and files created or updated.
- **Copy URL** copies a direct link to the profile so you can share it.
