# What's new in Talkspirit: 19 to 25 October 2026

A meetings week: meetings come with a rebuilt template library, a governance proposal moves roles and policies together, Goals get repeating time periods, and the notification bell shows the comment you were mentioned in.

## A rebuilt meeting template library

The meeting template library is rebuilt. Templates are grouped by meeting type, so the right one is quicker to find. **New** opens a chooser, each template has a **Name** and a palette of sections to build its agenda from, and it sets which outputs its meetings offer. Your existing meetings and templates keep working. See [Creating a meeting template](/en/structure-governance/how-to-create-a-meeting-template).

## Move roles and policies in one proposal

In a governance proposal, **Move roles and policies** replaces **Restructure a sub-circle**. Pick roles, policies and sub-circles from the circle or its direct sub-circles, choose one destination, and the wizard shows where each item sits. Reducing a circle can first move its policies to its parent.

## Repeating time periods for Goals

**Goals › Settings › Time periods** is rebuilt around repeating periods (Monthly, Quarterly, Every 4 months, Half-yearly, Yearly) that Talkspirit creates ahead of time, next to the periods you add by hand. You choose which repeat, which is the default for new goals, how far back and ahead goal owners can pick, and the month your year starts in. ## A notification bell you can work through

A mention or a comment shows the comment text, and filter chips (All, Unread, Comments, then one per module) narrow the list, making going through your new notifications a breeze. The text of the comment is also visible in the notification emails, so you can stay up to date even when you are not in the product.

For even more convenience, notifications now have a "Go through unread notifications" control, which makes it very easy to keep up with everything that happened since you last checked. See [Notifications overview](/en/getting-started/notifications).

## Improvements worth a shoutout

- **Meetings:** **End this meeting?** can resolve the open tensions the meeting dealt with.
- **Meetings:** you can now choose to make new meeting reports visible to all members by default. The option is off unless you switch it on in **Meeting settings › Defaults**.
- **Meetings:** organisation administrators can hand over any meeting to another organiser.
- **Meetings:** report search covers agenda-item notes; downloads are named by date and title; PDF mentions link back to Talkspirit.
- **Meetings:** links in section descriptions are clickable; optional attendees are marked at check-in; **Add task** sits under **Tasks without a project**.
- **Structure:** link an existing role to a role template, or unlink it, wherever **Edit** and **Delete** appear.
- **Structure:** a template can **Manage assignments** without being a main role; saving a system role asks whether to add it to existing circles.
- **Structure:** with no review period and no meeting, a proposal offers **Adopt**, **Reject** and **Back to draft** on its page.
- **Structure:** a working agreement can be handed to another member; a guest can no longer decide or nominate.
- **Structure:** per-circle statistics (vacant roles, ended terms, goal health) and new exports, including the chart as PNG or SVG.
- **Structure:** **Export as PDF** in the circle panel; circle paths in the directory; badges on draft policies; Enter adds a domain row.
- **Projects:** assign a sub-circle's role on a shared board; group the projects list by Circle & Role.
- **Projects:** a board's address carries the whole view, so a filtered view can be shared by link.
- **Projects:** task limits show in the column header; choose the access level before inviting someone.
- **Navigation:** Cmd/Ctrl+B pins the menu; the Cockpit shows only the modules you can open.
- **Branding:** a custom brand colour renders as itself on collapsed circles, the primary button and indicators; integration logos in monochrome.
- **Display:** English profiles see the 24-hour clock, day-first dates and weeks starting on Monday.
- **Administration:** switch off the PDF on published-report emails (**Notification emails › Meetings**); attached up to 512 KB when on.
- **Administration:** the unpaid-invoice page offers **Delete organisation** to the owner only and **Export your data** to administrators.

## Fixes

- **Calendar:** an expired Google or Outlook connection shows a banner, and **Calendar synchronisation** offers **Reconnect**.
- **Meetings:** the 48-hour reminder email no longer carries a calendar file, so it creates no events in connected calendars.
- **Meetings:** a task edited from a meeting lists the participants and the circle's roles first.
- **Accessibility:** a text size above 100 % no longer freezes pages with notes, comments or descriptions.

## Newsfeed, Chat and Home in the new Talkspirit (public beta)

- **Newsfeed:** Enter adds a line in a comment; Cmd/Ctrl+Enter or the send button publishes. The composer stands apart from the list.
- **Chat:** the reworked chat menu for everyone on the new Talkspirit; favourites follow in real time, dragging a conversation shows a preview.
- **Home:** administrators and Home managers add, edit, reorder and delete Home pages from the Home page itself.
- **Chat:** an ordered list pasted into a chat keeps its numbering and nesting.
