# Using the working agreement editor

The **Structure** app in Talkspirit provides a rich editor for writing working agreements and the other documents that carry your governance content, such as procedures, policies and technical docs. The editor supports structured content blocks, text formatting, inline mentions, and emoji shortcuts, giving you all the tools needed to write clear, well-organised documents.

You will find these documents in the **Structure** app, under **Working agreements**. The names of the document types are configurable, so your organisation may use a different term than **working agreements**.

## How do I add content blocks?

Click the **+** button at the start of a line to access block-level elements. Typing **/** in an empty line opens the same menu without leaving the keyboard:

- **Headings** (used to generate a table of contents automatically)
- **Lists** (bullet point, ordered, and task list)
- **Coloured callouts**
- **Tables**
- **Code blocks**
- **Images**
- **Quotes**

**Note:** Using Headings generates a table of contents for your document automatically. Apply headings consistently to titles and subtitles for this to work.

## How do I format text?

Highlight any content to access inline formatting options:

- **Bold** or **italic** (or both)
- Strikethrough or underline
- Text colour and highlighting
- Coloured callout
- **Bullet point**, **ordered**, or **task list**

## How do I use shortcuts and mentions?

The editor supports the following shortcuts:

- Type **:** to open the emoji picker and insert an emoji
- Type **@** followed by the name of a member, role, or circle to mention them. You can also mention a project, goal, task, metric, or checklist. The results are grouped by type, so scroll the list to move from members to roles, circles and the other types. Members are not notified when they are mentioned in the document body, but mentions in comments on the document do send a notification.
