# Joining Talkspirit


You join Talkspirit in one of two ways: by accepting an email invitation from your organisation, or, when self-registration is enabled, by registering yourself. In both cases you set your name and password on a secure Talkspirit sign-in page, then sign in at your organisation's Talkspirit address. Self-registration and identifier-based accounts are set up by an administrator.

## How do I join using an invitation?

Your organisation sends you an email inviting you to join Talkspirit. Open it and select the invitation link. On the account-setup page, enter your first name, last name, and a password, then confirm the password. Accept the terms of use if you are prompted, and confirm to create your account.

If the invitation email does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find it, contact your organisation's project manager or Talkspirit support.

## How do I join without an invitation?

If your administrator has enabled self-registration, you create your own account from your organisation's Talkspirit sign-in page. You register with an email address, or, if you do not have one, you sign in with an identifier your administrator gives you.

### Register with an email address

1. Go to your organisation's Talkspirit sign-in page and select the registration link.
2. Enter your email address, your first name and last name, and a password.
3. Confirm to create your account. If email verification is required, open the message sent to your inbox and follow the link to activate your account.

### Sign in with an identifier

If you do not have an email address, your administrator creates your account and gives you an identifier and a password. Enter them on your organisation's Talkspirit sign-in page to sign in. The sign-in field accepts either an email address or an identifier.

## Joining on the mobile app

Talkspirit has a mobile app for iOS and Android. You join from a mobile device the same way as on a computer: the invitation link and the registration page open in your mobile browser, where you set your name and password. Once your account exists, sign in through the Talkspirit mobile app.
