# Creating my account


You create your Talkspirit account by accepting an invitation. When an administrator adds you to an organisation, you receive an email with an activation link. Clicking it opens a setup page where you enter your name and choose a password.

## How do I activate my account?

1. Open the invitation email sent to you.
2. Click **Activate my account**.
3. Fill in your **First name** and **Last name**.
4. Choose and confirm a **Password** that meets your organisation's security policy.
5. Click **Create my account**.

> **Note:** You can belong to several organisations with one account, as long as you are invited to each one using the same email address.

## What if I have not received my invitation?

- Check your spam or junk folder. The invitation email may have been filtered.
- Ask an administrator to resend your invitation from **Administration → Invitations**.
