# Deleting my Talkspirit account

You cannot remove your own Talkspirit account. Only an administrator can close a member's account, from **Administration → Users**. An administrator can **Suspend** an account, which blocks access but can be restored at any time, or **Suspend and anonymise** it, which also erases the member's personal data permanently. Contact an administrator of your organisation to request either action.

## How do I request account closure?

Contact an administrator of your organisation and tell them whether you want your account suspended or anonymised. Administrators handle account closure from **Administration → Users**, where they select your name and choose an action:

- **Suspend** blocks your access to the account. An administrator can restore it at any time.
- **Suspend and anonymise** blocks your access and permanently anonymises your personal data.

> **Warning:** Suspending and anonymising an account permanently erases the member's personal data. It cannot be undone.

Administrators cannot be suspended or anonymised: an administrator account must be set as a member first.
