# Cockpit overview

The Cockpit is your personal home page in Talkspirit. It pulls together, in one place, the items that need your attention, your meetings for the day, and the circles and roles you hold across the suite. Every member has a Cockpit, and you reach it any time from the flame icon at the top of the navigation rail.

## What the Cockpit shows

The Cockpit is a single scrolling page built from a personal greeting and four panels. Each panel draws live from one of the apps, so you only see the panels and tabs for the apps you can open.

- **The greeting** opens the page with a personal message that changes with the time of day (morning, afternoon or evening), today's date, and a shortcut to your next meeting.
- **Requires attention** collects the items that need action across your apps: tasks, goals and tensions, interleaved and ordered by urgency. Tabs filter the queue by **All**, **Tasks**, **Goals** and **Tensions**. A search box narrows the list by title, and priority pills at the top of the panel filter it to **High priority** or **Medium priority** items.
- **Meetings** lists your meetings for today and the rest of the week, with a count of how many fall today and this week. This panel appears when you have access to the Meetings module.
- **My circles and roles** counts the circles and roles you hold and devotes a card to each circle, listing your roles there. **Explore the structure** on the card opens the organisation chart.
- **Recent updates** shows your latest governance notifications and meeting reports.

Your organisation can rename circles, roles and tensions, so these panels and tabs may carry different labels in your workspace.

## Move around from the Cockpit

Every item on the Cockpit is a shortcut into the app it belongs to. Select a task and it opens in the task panel. Select a goal or a tension and its detail opens over the page. Select a meeting, or the next-meeting shortcut in the greeting, and the meeting opens as a full page. To switch apps entirely, use the navigation rail down the left of every screen.

## Who sees the Cockpit

The Cockpit is your personal home page in Talkspirit, always available in the navigation rail. An administrator sets which page members land on first at sign-in from **Administration → Onboarding**, and the Cockpit is one of the options; that setting changes only where members land first, not whether the Cockpit exists. What each person sees inside the Cockpit follows their own access: the tabs and panels adapt to the apps they can open.
