# Changing my email address


You can change your email address at any time from your account settings, and you do not need administrator help. Open the **Authentication** page, submit your new address, then confirm it from the link Talkspirit emails to that address. Your email address changes only after you select that link.

## How do I change my email address?

1. Open the user menu from your avatar at the top right, then select **Profile & Preferences**.
2. In the account menu, select **Authentication**.
3. In the **Email address** section, select **Change email address**.
4. Enter your new address in the **New email address** field.
5. Select **Change email address** to submit.

6. Open the confirmation email Talkspirit sends to your new address, then select **Confirm my email address**.

> **Note:** Your email address changes only after you open the confirmation email and select **Confirm my email address**. Until then, you keep signing in with your current address.
