# Choosing my platform language


Talkspirit is available in 11 languages: Czech, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), and Russian. You set your interface language in the **General** settings of your account, and it changes as soon as you select it. Each language appears under its own name in the list, so **Deutsch** rather than German. Content written by other members is not affected: it stays in the language it was written in.

## How do I change my platform language?

1. Select your avatar in the top-right corner to open your user menu.
2. Choose **Profile & Preferences** to open your **General** settings.
3. Open the drop-down in the **Language preference** section and select your language.

Your interface changes to the selected language straight away, and a confirmation appears.

If your browser is set to a supported language you are not already using, a shortcut to switch to it appears below the drop-down.
