## Creating a photo gallery in Talkspirit
With the photo gallery feature, you can attach and display multiple visuals in a post or event. You can create a gallery directly from the news feed, through a post, or through an event. Galleries support drag-and-drop upload, image reordering, captions, and bulk download. Only users with permission to post in a group can create and publish a photo gallery.

## How do I create a gallery from the news feed?

1. On the news feed, click the **Create a new photo gallery** icon.
2. A post creation window opens with the gallery feature pre-selected.
3. Fill in the required fields: **recipient** and **title**.
4. Optionally add a description and a gallery name.
5. Add images by dragging and dropping them onto the gallery, or click **+ Add picture** to select files from your computer. You can upload multiple images at once (hold Ctrl to select several files).
6. Click **Publish** when ready.

The maximum size per image is your organisation's file upload limit, which depends on its plan. There is no fixed limit on the number of images.

## How do I add a gallery to an existing post or event?

If you are creating a post or event, select the **Image gallery** option before uploading visuals.

If you upload visuals without selecting **Image gallery** first, a pop-up will appear asking whether to create a gallery or display the visuals as attachments. Choose your preference.

## How do I reorder or delete images in a gallery?

- To **reorder** images: click and hold an image, then drag it to the desired position.
- To **delete** a single image: click the cross icon on that image.
- To **delete the entire gallery**: click the trash icon labelled **Delete this gallery**.

## How do I add captions to images?

After uploading images, click **Add captions**. Each image is listed with an **Add a caption** field for you to fill in. Click **Back to grid view** to return to the full gallery view.

Note: captions are not visible in the post attachment preview. Click the image to view its caption.

## How do I download gallery images?

Any group member can download gallery images regardless of their posting permissions. Click the **Download** button in the gallery view. The images are downloaded as a zip folder.

## How do I edit a gallery after publishing?

The post author can edit the gallery at any time by selecting **Edit** on the post. From there you can reorder, add, or delete images.
