# Using my public video meeting link

Every Talkspirit member has a personal public video meeting link. Share it to meet other members and external guests, including people who do not have a Talkspirit account, from anywhere. You find and manage the link in your account settings, on the **General** page reached from **Profile & Preferences**. Guests without a Talkspirit account cannot have their own link, but they can join a meeting through someone else's.

## Prerequisites

The videoconference service must be enabled for your organisation by an administrator. If it is turned off, the link is shown but starting a meeting fails.

## Where do I find my public video meeting link?

1. Select your profile picture or name in the left sidebar.
2. Select **Profile & Preferences**.
3. On the **General** page, go to the **Public video meeting link** section.

## How do I start a meeting with my public link?

In the **Public video meeting link** section of **Profile & Preferences → General**:

1. Select the copy icon to copy the link, then share it with your participants.
2. Select **Start video meeting** to open your meeting room.

## How do I let participants into the meeting?

Members join automatically, without approval. When an external participant (someone without a Talkspirit account) requests to join, a pop-up appears asking you to accept or refuse their entry. The pop-up reaches you whether you are in the meeting or elsewhere in Talkspirit.

Refusing sends the participant a decline message. Accepting lets them into the call. Accepting a participant once does not grant them access to future meetings: each session needs a new approval.

## What moderation rights do I have in my own meeting room?

When you host a meeting through your public video meeting link, you are its moderator. You can:

- Mute the microphone or camera of participants
- Manage the meeting room settings

External participants join as guests and do not have moderation rights.
