# Managing enabled apps on a group

## Managing enabled apps on a group
Each Talkspirit group can use five apps: **Newsfeed**, **Chats**, **Drives**, **Calendar**, and **Projects**. As a group manager, you choose which of these apps are enabled, depending on the purpose of the group and the team's needs. You can also select the apps when you create the group.

> **Role prerequisite:** Only group managers see the **Manage enabled apps** option.

## How do I enable or disable apps on a group?

1. Open the group and click the **Settings** button (cog icon).
2. Select **Manage enabled apps**.

3. Use the switch next to each app to enable or disable it.
4. Click **Save**.

The change applies to all group members.

## What happens to existing content?

Disabling an app hides its content from the group; nothing is deleted. When you enable the app again, the existing posts, files, events, tasks, and chat history become available again.

While Chats is disabled, the group's conversation no longer appears in members' chat lists. It comes back with its full history when you re-enable the app.

> **Note:** An app that an administrator has deactivated for the whole organisation does not appear in the group's list.
