# Managing a videoconference


In a Talkspirit videoconference you moderate the room from the in-call toolbar. You can mute every participant at once to cut background noise, view how long each person has spoken, and add a password so only people with the password can join. These controls are available to every participant: the videoconference does not assign a separate host role.

## How do I mute every participant?

Muting everyone at once quiets background noise during a presentation.

1. Click the **Participants** button in the videoconference toolbar.
2. In the participants panel, select **Mute all**.

Every participant's microphone is muted. Each person can unmute themselves again when they need to speak.

## How do I view speaking-time statistics?

The speaker statistics show how long each participant has spoken since the call started.

1. Click the **More actions** button (the three dots) in the videoconference toolbar.
2. Select **Speaker stats**.

The speaking time for each participant is displayed.

## How do I add a password to the room?

A password restricts the room to the people you share it with.

1. Click the **More actions** button in the videoconference toolbar.
2. Select **Security options**.
3. Turn on **Add password** and enter a password.

Anyone who joins after that must enter the password.
