# Joining a videoconference on mobile

You can start and join a videoconference directly from a chat conversation in the Talkspirit mobile app. Your organisation must have the videoconference service enabled by an administrator. The mobile video meeting runs on Jitsi and gives you audio, video, and an in-call chat. Recording is not available in mobile video meetings.

## How do I start a video meeting on mobile?

1. Open the **Chat** tab in the mobile app.
2. Open the conversation where you want to start the meeting.
3. Tap the **+** icon to the left of the message field.
4. Tap **Start a video meeting**.

A message reading **Join me in a video meeting** appears in the conversation, with a **Join** button. Anyone in the conversation taps **Join** to enter the meeting.
