# Suspending users in bulk

## Suspending users in bulk
Administrators can suspend multiple users at once, revoking their access to the platform without permanently deleting their accounts. Bulk suspension is useful when off-boarding groups of users — for example, at the end of a project or following an organisational change. Suspended users can be reinstated at any time.

## How do I suspend multiple users at once?

1. Click the **gear** icon in the left-hand navigation menu to open **Administration**.
2. Click on **Users**.
3. Go to the **Members** or **Guests** tab depending on the user type you want to suspend.
4. Select the checkboxes next to the users you want to suspend.
5. Use the bulk action menu to choose **Suspend** or **Suspend and anonymize**.

Note: suspending a user blocks their access to the platform but does not delete their account or contributions. You can reinstate suspended users by following the same process and selecting the reinstate option.

## Who can suspend users in bulk?
