# Enabling on-the-fly translation for posts


As an administrator, you can enable on-the-fly translation of posts and comments so members who work in different languages read content in the language set on their account. Once you enable it, a **Translate** button appears on any post or comment written in a language other than the reader's platform language.

To enable on-the-fly translation you need administrator rights, and your plan must include the translation option. Whether the option is available depends on your subscription, so if you cannot see the setting, contact your account manager.

## How do I enable on-the-fly translation?

Only an administrator can enable this feature.

1. Go to **Administration → Newsfeed**.
2. Under **Translations**, turn on **Enable posts and comments translation**.

Once you enable it, every post or comment written in a language other than the reader's platform language shows a **Translate** button.

## How does a member translate a post?

1. Click **Translate** on the post or comment.
2. The body text is translated into your platform language, and the button changes to **Original**.

To return to the source text, click **Original**.

> **Note:** Translation applies to the text of posts and comments, including the post title. Attached images and files are not translated.

## Which languages are supported?

On-the-fly translation covers the eight languages a member can set as their platform language:

- French
- English
- Spanish
- German
- Italian
- Dutch
- Polish
- Portuguese

The body text is translated into whichever of these languages the reader has set on their account.
