# Enabling beta features in Talkspirit


Beta features let you preview and test functionality that is still in development, before it is released to everyone. They are available when your organisation is enrolled in the Talkspirit beta programme. You turn each beta feature on or off individually from your profile menu, and the change applies only to you.

Beta features are still being built, so they may be incomplete or change before their final release.

## Before you start

Your organisation must be enrolled in the Talkspirit beta programme. The Talkspirit team activates it for your organisation. Once it is active, a **Beta features** entry appears in your profile menu, with the number of features currently available shown next to it.

## How do I turn a beta feature on or off?

1. Click your **profile photo** in the top navigation bar.
2. Select **Beta features**.
3. Turn on the toggle next to the feature you want to test.

The change applies immediately and only to you. Turn the toggle off to stop using the feature.

## Which beta features are available?

The list changes as features are added and as tested features are released to everyone. Each available feature appears in the **Beta features** panel with its name and a short description of what it does. When none are available, the panel shows the message "No beta features are available right now."
