# Activating the Homepage

## Activating the Homepage
The Homepage is a portal-style module for sharing news and editorial information with your organisation. An administrator activates it from the Administration, then designates the managers who build and publish its pages. Once active, a **Home** entry appears at the top of the navigation for every member, and you can make the Homepage the page members see after signing in.

## How do I activate the Homepage module?

Only administrators can activate the module.

1. Select your profile picture in the top bar, then select **Administration**.
2. In the sidebar, under **Modules**, select **Homepage**.
3. Turn on the **Homepage** toggle.

The **Home** entry appears at the top of the navigation for every member. Until a manager publishes a page, members who open it are sent to the newsfeed instead.

If the toggle shows **Available on a higher plan**, the Homepage is not included in your current plan: use **Contact sales** to add it.

## How do I assign Homepage managers?

Managers build the Homepage, control its content, and publish it. You can choose members or administrators to become managers. An administrator is not a Homepage manager by default: to manage the module yourself, designate yourself as a manager.

Manager selection has not yet moved into the new Administration area. It lives in classic Talkspirit:

1. In classic Talkspirit, go to **Administration → Apps → Home**.
2. Under **Select Home manager(s)**, choose each manager in the **Select managers** field.
3. Select **Save changes** in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Existing managers reach the same screen with the **Manage** button at the top of the Home page.

## How do I set the Homepage as the default landing page?

Once the module is active, you can make the Homepage the first page members see after they sign in.

1. Go to **Administration → Onboarding**.
2. Under **Landing page**, open the **Default page after login** list.
3. Select **Homepage**.

The Homepage option appears in the list only while the module is active.

> **Note:** Members who cannot see at least one published Home page are redirected to the newsfeed when they sign in.

## How do I deactivate the Homepage?

Only an administrator can deactivate the module.

1. Go to **Administration → Modules → Homepage**.
2. Turn off the **Homepage** toggle.
3. Select **Disable Homepage** in the confirmation dialog.

Deactivating hides the **Home** entry for everyone until you turn the module back on. The pages, their content and drafts, and the manager list are all preserved: reactivating the module restores them. If the Homepage was the default landing page, members land on the next active module instead.
