# Einen Cloud-Dateiauswähler aktivieren

## Enabling a cloud file picker

Talkspirit can offer four cloud storage services in its attachment menu: Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box. All four are off until an administrator switches them on in **Administration > Integrations**. Dropbox and Box need nothing but the switch. Google Drive and OneDrive first need a Client ID, taken from an application you register with the provider.

> **Role prerequisite:** You need administrator rights. The Administration area and this setting are both restricted to administrators, and members never see the page, only its result.

## What each provider needs

| Provider | Client ID required | Where the Client ID comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Google Drive | Yes | An OAuth client you create in the Google Cloud console |
| OneDrive | Yes | An app registration you create in Microsoft Entra ID |
| Dropbox | No | Talkspirit holds the credentials centrally |
| Box | No | Talkspirit holds the credentials centrally |

Google Drive and OneDrive open their file chooser through an application that belongs to your organisation, which is why you register one and paste its Client ID into Talkspirit. Dropbox and Box run on credentials Talkspirit maintains, so their cards carry a switch and nothing else.

## Turn a picker on

1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner, then click **Administration**.
2. Click **Integrations**, in the **Settings** group of the left menu.
3. Under **File pickers**, find the provider's card.
4. For Google Drive or OneDrive, type the Client ID in the **Client ID** field and click the save button beside it.
5. Click the switch at the top of the card.

**Picker settings updated** confirms the change, and it applies to every member immediately. Switching a picker back off removes it from the attachment menu just as fast.

> **Note:** until a Client ID is saved, a Google Drive or OneDrive card reads "A Client ID is required before enabling this picker" and its switch stays greyed out. Switching a picker off later keeps the saved Client ID, so you can switch it back on without typing it again. You can replace a Client ID by typing a new one, but the page has no control for clearing one.

## Register a Google application

Do this once, before you enable Google Drive. You need an account that can create projects in the Google Cloud console.

1. Create or select a project.
2. Enable the **Google Picker API** and the **Google Drive API** for that project.
3. Complete the OAuth consent screen, using your organisation's name as the product name.
4. Create credentials of type **OAuth client ID**, and choose **Web application**.
5. Add your organisation's Talkspirit address to the authorised JavaScript origins.
6. Copy the Client ID.

Talkspirit requests one Google scope, `drive.file`. It covers the files a member picks and nothing else in their Drive.

## Register a Microsoft application

OneDrive needs a **multi-tenant** app registration in Microsoft Entra ID, with a **single-page-application** redirect URI set to the exact address shown on the OneDrive card (not a plain web platform, and not your workspace root), plus the implicit grant enabled. The full walkthrough, including the common `AADSTS50194` and `unsupported_response_type` errors, is in [Setting up OneDrive in Microsoft Entra ID](/en/integrations/set-up-onedrive-in-microsoft-entra). Copy the **Application (client) ID** it produces into the OneDrive card's **Client ID** field.

## What members see

An enabled provider appears in the **Add file** menu, which opens from the **Add attachment** button, beside **From computer** and **Link**. Choosing it opens the provider's own chooser in a popup window, where the member signs in to their own account and can select several files at once.

That menu is on project tasks, goals, circle attachments and metric attachments. A few places take uploads from your computer only whichever pickers are on, meeting agenda items and working agreement files among them.

Talkspirit saves the link the provider returns, never a copy of the file. Access stays governed by the provider, so a colleague with no rights on a file in Google Drive still cannot open it from Talkspirit. Switching a picker off leaves the links members already attached exactly where they are.

## If a picker is on but nobody can see it

Dropbox and Box also depend on credentials held by the Talkspirit deployment itself. Where those are missing, the card still shows an enabled switch, no warning appears, and the provider never reaches the attachment menu. If you have switched Dropbox or Box on and members still do not see it, contact support rather than looking for a setting you have missed.
